Exclusive Services

I have created this exclusive service system to give you an idea of what a service may include for  either  woodwind or brass instruments. It also gives you the chance to assess your own instrument's needs before bringing it into the workshop for a full assessment by the repairer.

On arrival the instrument will be assessed and we can discuss what you would like doing and highlight any additional work that may be required. Prices are worked out based on the time required  for the repair and materials needed. An estimate can be given on request but may be subject to change once repairs/servicing has started.

If additional work or materials are needed once the intended repairs have started, you will be contacted to discuss further costs and time.

Bronze Service

A Bronze Service  may typically include replacing tenon joint & crook/neck corks, key corks & felts as needed,  replacing a broken or worn-out spring, re-seating or replacing some pads and making adjustments to regulation corks and screws.  Focusing on a few smaller components to help improve the general playability of the instrument.

Silver Service

A Silver Service would typically cover all the option of a bronze service with the potential for the Instrument to be stripped down and a much more in depth look at the materials that may need to be replaced. Minimal cleaning or a "wipe over" may be suggested.

Gold Service

A Gold Service would typically include all of the option of a Bronze & Silver Service with added cleaning. External and internal cleaning can be done as well as polishing silver/silver plated instruments that will have tarnished over time.

Other services are available including full repads and overhauls as well as soldering, dent removal and much more.

All the options listed in the Bronze, Silver & Gold services can be carried out individually. Certain jobs are better done together as make a small alteration in one place, may have an effect on other parts of the instrument.
