About Me

I spent 3 years studying at Newark College on the ‘Woodwind instrument making and repair course’ graduating in 2017. Since then I have been self employed as a Repairer developing skills and gaining experience along the way.

I have a level 2 NVQ in engineering practices and I am also a professional member of NAMIR

(National Association of Musical Instrument Repairers).

From 2017 to 2022 I was an 'in house' repairer at Windblowers (formerly of Derby Road, Nottingham) where I honed my skills in woodwind repairs and also gained experience in brass repairs. All under the watchful eye of former manager and well respected repairer Peter Beaumont.

I grew up surrounded by music with both parents playing multiple  instruments and  Grandparents running a music shop (Farnsworth Musical Supplies).

I have played the Saxophone since I was 8 years old. Throughout school I played alto and tenor sax in bands and ensembles and at home I was a key player in our family band 'Gravity'.

I also play the Bari sax with two other bands, Nottingham Trent  University Big Band and Ravenshead Swing Band.
